Automatic Roof or Side Vent Opener

This more robust opener, with a much stronger closing force, is a recent addition to the range. With the same unique action as the T-RVO, but fitted with two upper arms and two strong extension springs. It is recommended for use on both aluminium and timber roof and top hung side vents, particularly lightweight polycarbonate glazed, in exposed areas to reduce wind snatch effect and provide increased resistance to wind flutter. Will lift up to 6kg (13lb) i.e. a vent weighting up to 12kg (26lb) - glass area not exceeding .65sq m in an aluminium frame - with a maximum opening of 35cm (14")      The way they work is, the black cylinder contains a wax like substance which expands with heat.  This pushes a piston which opens the vent via a metal arms linkage.  As the temperature drops the wax contracts, therefore reversing the process and closing the window.
